ProSafOffshore accesses a cloud database of over 700 process safety questions / inspection items in 2 modules; Fixed Offshore Platforms, and Marine Tanker Loading Terminals.
The Fixed Offshore Platform with Heli-deck module module has 458 questions, for example:
General item "Is there a SEMS (Safety and Environmental Management System) in accordance with API RP 75 and US GOM BSEE or equivalent regulations (e.g. Safety Case in UK)?"
Platform Structure item "Is there any coating damage, bulging or cracking and rust staining on coatings, that could indicate substrate cracking?"
Platform Seabed item "Has there been a recent seabed surface survey (e.g. after hurricane or typhoon)?"
Platform Service Vessel item "Is there an exclusion zone pre-entry procedure and checklist to be completed by the contract vessel and provided to the installation, including items such as: ... (15 items listed)?"
Platform Bulk Hose item "Are hoses lifted by acceptable methods, e.g. certified hook eye fitting, or approved sling with hose not exceeding minimum bend radius?"
Platform Riser item "Are production and export pipeline risers protected against impact damage from attending vessels (e.g. behind structural members / legs, or within caissons, well conductors and J-tubes)?"
The Marine Loading Terminal module has 277 questions, for example:
Terminal General item "Is there a preload / discharge meeting with the tanker chief officer and the terminal reps with the loading / discharge procedures agreed on and written?"
Terminal Tanker Load Line item "Are tanker stability / stress levels for various weight distributions monitored regularly during transfer operations, e.g. by loading computer system?"
Terminal Loading Arm item "Are non-conductive hoses or insulating unions provided for any line bridging the loading arm insulating flange, e.g. hydraulic, lubricating, purge or drain lines?"
Terminal Mooring Lines item "Are mooring lines regularly (e.g. hourly) checked for tension and condition and tended or adjusted during the cargo transfer?"
